Zebra Access offers a variety of online British Sign Language (BSL) courses to suit different needs and skill levels. All courses are taught by Dawn, an experienced BSL tutor with over 20 years of teaching expertise, and all courses are accredited by Signature, the leading awarding body for BSL qualifications.

About the Tutor

Dawn is Deaf and a fluent British Sign Language (BSL) user. She is a qualified BSL teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching BSL courses. Since 1998, she has worked extensively across various educational institutions, including colleges and schools.  

In 2019, Dawn joined Zebra Access as a BSL and Deaf Awareness tutor. In this role, she has delivered BSL Taster sessions and taught BSL Level 1 and Level 2 courses. She has experience teaching both online and in person and is also available to provide one-to-one BSL sessions.  

Dawn is passionate about teaching hearing people to learn BSL, encouraging them to communicate with Deaf individuals within the Deaf community, and supporting efforts to break down barriers in everyday situations.  

Outside of work, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family, walking, crocheting, and baking cakes.
