BSL Level 3

Overview

The British Sign Language (BSL) Level 3 Course is ideal for learners looking to advance their BSL skills. This comprehensive course will deepen your understanding of British Sign Language while exploring Deaf history, culture, and more advanced linguistic elements.

Duration

40 weeks including three assessments (3ASS1 - Formal Presentation, 3ASS2 - Informal Conversation and 3ASS3 - Receptive Skills). 

Accreditation

Successful completion of the course awards the official Signature BSL Level 3 Qualification. 

Teaching Method 

Live Zoom Sessions, featuring interactive group work, pair activities, and practical exercises to refine your signing and linguistic skills. 

Target Audience

This course is designed for those with a solid foundation in BSL (e.g. Level 2 qualification) and who wish to further develop their signing skills for personal, academic or professional purposes. 

Course Highlights

  • Explore topics such as home life, social and recreational activities, education and training, employment, consumer issues, daily living, and more.
  • Gain deeper insights into Deaf history and culture.
  • Develop advanced skills like BSL sign order and multi-channel signing techniques.
