Wulfrunian Deaf Badminton Club

In February 2018, Zebra Access set up informal badminton sessions, which has seen a club, Wulfrunian Deaf Badminton Club, being established to represent the City of Wolverhampton. The club is now led by its Deaf and Hard of Hearing members with sessions being held:

WHERE: Aldersley Leisure Centre, Aldersley Road, Wolverhampton WV6 9NW (Nearest bus services: 6, 6A)
WHEN: Wednesdays 7-9pm (Commencing from 9th January until 27th March 2019)
Link: http://www.wvactive.com/centres/aldersley.html

Cost for a 2 hour session:

  • First session - £2 and then
  • Students - £3
  • Members - £4

The sessions are for deaf/hard of hearing and hearing people who are local and interested in badminton, with the aim of getting everyone together to socialise, meet new people, have a chat and promote health and wellbeing at the same time.

Please note, it is important that you bring your own badminton racket, wear proper sports attire/trainers and bring a bottle of water.

If you have any enquires please contact wulfruniandeaf@gmail.com or go to the Wulfrunian Deaf Badminton Club Facebook page for more information.
