There are many different ways you can volunteer for Zebra Access, and the time you give really does make a difference to Deaf, Deaf Blind and Hard of Hearing people and communities.
We really value all our volunteers and you can expect to receive training, have expenses covered and be part of an excellent team. So please share your skills, experience and enthusiasm with us today, and you’ll soon discover what a difference it can make to you too
Zebra Access offers various types of volunteering opportunities:
- Be-friender scheme
- Community events such as Coffee mornings, trips and so on
- Supporting and running activities such as badminton, rambling, craft club and so on
- Employment support
- Deaffest
- And any other opportunities that may arise

Services
Zebra Access CIO provides services and support to Deaf, Deaf Blind and Hard of Hearing people with thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund. Services includes Employment Services, English/Maths tutorials, Advocacy, Community Development, BSL/Deaf Awareness, drop-in sessions dealing with a range of queries, complaints, form filling, and many more. Zebra Access staff and volunteers have the right to work in a safe and abuse free environment. The organisation will not tolerate any kind of abuse against its staff, volunteers or property.
