Overview
The British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 Course is designed to enhance your linguistic skills and build on the foundations laid in BSL Level 1. This course focuses on developing productive and receptive signing skills, delving deeper into BSL structure, grammar, and vocabulary. You'll explore themes such as everyday conversation, shopping, travel, and dining, while learning to communicate fluently and confidently.
Duration
37 weeks, including three assessments (201: Receptive Skills, 202: Conversational Skills and 203: Presentation Skills)
Accreditation
Successful completion of the course awards the official Signature BSL Level 2 Qualification.
Teaching Method
Live Zoom Sessions, featuring interactive group work, pair activities, and practical exercises to refine your signing and linguistic skills.
Target Audience
Anyone who has basic BSL skills or learners who have completed BSL Level 1 and wish to advance their skills for personal, academic or professional development.
Course Highlights
- Recap key topics and grammar from BSL Level 1 before progressing to advanced structures and new vocabulary.
- Develop signing fluency through engaging activities.
- Develop foundational signing skills to progress confidently onto BSL Level 3.
