Pen Museum Trip

Zebra Access's Outreach Officer, Shifa, organised an exciting and educational trip to the Pen Museum in Birmingham for individuals who are hard of hearing, have hearing loss, or use British Sign Language (BSL). The event sparked curiosity among participants, many of whom were eager to explore the rich history of pens. More than just a visit, it was a chance for attendees to connect, share experiences, and bond with others who understand the unique challenges of being hard of hearing or BSL users.

The day was filled with fun and creativity, as everyone had the opportunity to craft their very own pen nib, which they were able to take home as a personal keepsake. The weather couldn't have been better, with clear skies and no rain, making for a perfect outing. The group left Wolverhampton at 11 a.m. and returned by 4 p.m., with everyone leaving with smiles on their faces after such a fulfilling day.

We’re already looking forward to more trips and experiences like this in the future!
