A Visit to Remember: Exploring the West Midlands Police Museum

A group of us recently visited the Police Museum, and what an experience it was! Housed in a stunning Victorian building that originally served as police cells from 1891 until its closure in 2016, the museum offers a fascinating look back across two centuries of crime and law enforcement. It was eye-opening to see what life was like for the criminals locked up there—some of whom were even part of the infamous Peaky Blinders gang! A few of us even got to try on police uniforms, which definitely added some extra fun to the day.

One of the most surprising (and moving) things we learned was about the immense sacrifices police officers made during the World Wars, carrying out their duties in incredibly difficult circumstances. It was a powerful reminder of the challenges they faced while keeping society safe.

All in all, it was a day full of discoveries, a bit of dress-up fun, and a deep appreciation for the history of law and order. We had a blast! ✨👮🏽
