Wellbeing Walk and Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park

Last week, a group of deaf people from the Black Country met up at Cannon Hill Park for a Wellbeing Walk. The park was lovely to walk around and there were lots of ducks in the pond. We all chatted whilst walking around the park and hoping that it wouldn’t rain later in the afternoon! After a long walk around the park, we explored the Midlands Art Centre (MAC) and discovered a lovely restaurant to sit in and enjoy lunch together.

At 1 pm, it was time for us to walk over to the Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park. We were greeted by the friendly members of staff and welcomed into the conservation park. Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park is home to a unique collection of animals from across the world, including red pandas, lemurs, reptiles, meerkats, otters, birds, wallabies, and a large collection of monkeys.

Where can we find our favourite animals?

Can you find the red panda?

Our new Outreach Officer, Honor, joined us on her very first Zebra Access trip!

Here our group is discussing the correct signs for ‘tortoise’ and ‘turtle’.
