Funding secured for the 'Black Country Healthy Living' project

Zebra Access is delighted to have secured funding from Heart of England to deliver the following:

  • 4 Healthy Walk sessions
  • 3 Trips
  • 3 Deaf women health workshops
  • 3 Deaf men health workshops

Over the next 9 months. Please do keep your eyes peeled on our social media further information on all of the above activities.

Chris Beech, Project Development Manager, said 'The 'Black Country Healthy Living' project funding from Heart of England will enable us to continue to develop opportunities for Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing people and communities to access information and activities that will offer and encourage healthy living. Despite this becoming widely available to the hearing community after the COVID pandemic, opportunities are very inaccessible to Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing people. Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing people are twice likely to suffer from mental wellbeing due to isolation and communicaiton barriers, this will go a long way to support these people'.

Meanwhile please do not hesitate to contact our Wellbeing Officer, Ella Gadsby, if you have any queries on: ella@zebra-access.com  or via text/facetime on: 07861677816
