Zebra Access online BSL Level One course a resounding success
Zebra Access’s online BSL (British Sign Language) Level 1 course 20/21 was a great success with participants achieving an 100% pass rate.
Using Zoom, the course was taught entirely online for the first time. It was uncertain whether this would work well in terms of running the course and carrying out the assessments online whilst overcoming technical and access issues.
Dawn Lynch, BSL and Deaf Awareness Tutor said ’It was challenging at times for me, as I am used to teaching in a physical environment where everyone can see each other in ‘3D'. There were ups and downs during the course with technological issues causing myself and others to appear frozen, wifi issues and so on. Despite the technical difficulties, the response from the participants was fantastic and they all are delighted with their results.’
Client Testimonies:
‘I have loved doing this course and loved learning BSL.’ (Helen)
‘Thanks for all of your help on the BSL Level One course. I would definitely recommend it.’ (Esther)
‘I’ve really enjoyed learning Level 1 in BSL with Dawn and the ladies who supported translating on our course, and I am grateful we were able to access the learning on Zoom! I would love to come back for a refresher in the future and progress to Level 2.’ (Donna)
