Introducing the new staff members for the Black Country Project

D: We will be working together on an exciting new project- ‘Black Country Futures’ with 14 other partner organisations based in the Black Country. Our roles will be-

B: I am the Employment Officer and I will be providing job clubs and one-to-one employment support across the Black Country for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people from 16+ We can provide support and advice with looking for jobs, apprenticeships, education and training. We also can support you if you are interested in courses to learn new skills or would like to volunteer. We can talk about your skills and experience, creating or polishing your cv, support you with interview role-play practice when preparing for an interview. There also will be workshops with opportunities to develop your employability.

D: My role will be English and Maths tutor; I will be working with Bob to support your employment journey by delivering group/ one on one tutorial to • Gain confidence in using English/Maths skills • Learn new English skills/Maths skills • Brushing up on written English/Maths skills • Prepare for entry assessments (job or education settings) • Gain a better understanding of the English language

D: Who can use these services? 2 things you need to access our services- 1. Deaf/HoH/deafened and 2. living in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell or Dudley (The Black Country) and surrounding areas.
