Exercising with your chair
Emily led us in a gentle warm-up stretching out our legs and arms along with our necks.
Emily used some moves that were similar to the ‘Staying Alive’ dance moves and some disco dance moves! We did these repeatedly laughing as it was really enjoyable.
We then used an exercise band to stretch out.
Cool down was a repeat of the warm-up gently bringing us back to our slightly sore selves.
The best part of this? We didn’t have to move from our chairs! This was part of chair exercises aimed at people with low mobility or people not keen on attending the gym.
We would like to thank Emily from the Congens Group for coming and showing us how exercise can be fun and gentle.
This would have not been possible without the funding from Comic Relief
