Deaf Roots and Pride Day in Wolverhampton
Zebra Access will be co-hosting an event with BDA’s Deaf Roots & Pride project end of this month!
Deaf Roots and Pride project was first set up in Northern Ireland 5 years ago, this was such a success and the project was then developed in rest of the UK 3 years ago. https://bda.org.uk/project/deafrootspride/
The Midlands Deaf Roots and Pride project will be celebrating their 3rdanniversary by working with Zebra Access to set up an event for young deaf & hard of hearing people who are between
8-20 years old and from the Midlands which will take place at The Way Youth Zone. https://www.thewayyouthzone.org
This will be a fun filled day with Olympic activities and meeting positive Deaf role models.
Date & Time: Sunday 30th June 2019 at 10am-4pm
Venue: The Way Youth Zone, School Street, Wolverhampton WV3 0NR
Cost: Free (Including free membership to join The Way Youth Zone!)
BSL interpreter and lunch will be provided.

With the support of funders such as the National Lottery's Community Fund, BFI, Foundations, Trusts and so on, Zebra Access CIO provides a range of free services and support to Deaf, Deafblind, Hard of Hearing and Deafened people and communities. Zebra Access staff, volunteers have the right to work in a safe and abuse free environment alongside with service users. The organisation will not tolerate any kind of abuse against its staff, volunteers, service users or property.
