Candle Making Workshop

On Wednesday 27th September 2023, the 'Living and Learning with Hearing Loss' group had the opportunity to complete a candle-making workshop with Paula from Bonita Candles.

Working hard!

We discussed how to safely create these candles and what scents and colours we wanted to use. We worked in pairs to create our candles with support from Paula.

Our lovely candles!

Paula used to be a BSL interpreter and we all felt comfortable working with her as her deaf awareness was amazing. She explained everything clearly and repeated herself if we did not understand. The instructions were clear and visual and we could all follow along with little to no help!

Thank you Paula for having us! We all had a lovely time and our candles looked and smelt beautiful!
