BSL Party in the Park

The wellbeing officer Clare organised a coach trip from Wolverhampton for the deaf community to the BSL PARTY IN THE PARK event in Manchester on the last day of the BSL FEST week organised by the Manchester Deaf Centre. 50 members of the deaf community members went.

It was a brilliant day with lots of events during the day with a variety of performances which included BSL signed songs, deaf comedian Gavin Lilley, BSL poetry and Rosie Cooper MP was the speaker at the start of the day. There also were a lot of deaf-related stalls such as BDA, Sign Health, RAD and so on plus some deaf businesses like art, jewellery and many more. There were even some actors/actresses there from Coronation Street. The weather on that day was perfect and didn’t rain at all! We left Wolverhampton at 8.45 and didn’t get back til 5.45. We all had a super time!

We look forward to more trips again in the future.

If you have any suggestions on where you would like the next trip to be email Clare at clare@zebra-access.com or WhatsApp her on 07861 677816

All suggestions/ideas are welcome!
